We Want More Girls On The Soccer Field

Whether you’ve played your whole life, haven’t kicked a ball since school, or have literally never played before, we want more women feeling like they can get involved, have a run around, meet some great people and enjoy the game.

But we also know that signing up for a sport on your own can be daunting.

You might not know anyone. You might be worried everyone else has played before. Or you might just feel a whole lot more comfortable having a mate there with you.

So, we’re removing that barrier.

From now until our new soccer season kicks off on October 12, any girl currently registered to play can bring a female friend along for FREE.

Yep. Completely free.

If you're already signed up and have a friend who has been thinking about playing, wants to get back into sport, or just needs a little convincing: bring her.

All you need to do is let us know who you'd like to bring and we'll add her to your team for the season.

No extra rego. No catch.

IT DOESN'T MATTER IF SHE'S NEVER PLAYED BEFORE

Seriously.

Urban Rec isn't about being the best player on the pitch. It's about getting active, meeting people and having a good time doing it.

We want the girl who hasn't played since she was 12.

We want the girl who's always said, "I'd love to play soccer but I'm terrible."

We want the girl who's been looking for a way to meet new people.

We want the girl who's keen to get back into team sport but doesn't want to do it alone.

The more women we can get playing, the better our leagues become, and the easier it becomes for the next person to give it a go too.
